Well, I love the flag,

Well, I love the flag, and USA….but if you live by choice in a house that has a home owners associatation, you agree to live by their rules, even if arbitrary. Get on the HOA council, and get like minded people on the council to change the stupid rule……good luck. And God Love you!

I would not live

I would not live in any community or indemnify any organization that attempted to negate or restrict the American Flag act of 2005.

Please allow him to fly the Flag

Please allow him to flag our nation’s flag. It should not go against the community’s aesthetics

Belment H.A – I am

Belment H.A – I am appalled to see this. Are you an American business? The statement below is from WWII POW that protected this flag even when he was a prisoner and you are not letting Mr. Aziz fly it in his own backyard in his own country. What the hell is wrong with you.?

Through his years as a prisoner, Otto Erler’s flag buried 25 men and raised the spirits and gave hope to thousands. That 42-star flag is still around. It resides at the Dallas Historical society. It is tattered and torn. It’s one of those things best described by British General Sir Edward Bruce Hamley:

“A moth-eaten rag on a worm-eaten pole, It doesn’t look likely to stir a man’s soul; ‘Tis the deeds that were done ‘neath the moth-eaten rag When that pole was a staff and the rag was a Flag.”

I’m a Vietnam Veteran that

I’m a Vietnam Veteran that served in the U.S. Submarine Force. I was also in the Red Sea in 79′ when Iran took Americans hostage. My father was a WWII Veteran who served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Solomon Islands and the Philippines. We have all carried the flag proudly and fought so that others could do the same. To not let Mr. Aziz display our flag the way he desires should be a crime in this country and for those of us whom have laid down their life to defend that right is a slap-in-the-face! Disgraceful!!!!!!!

Belmont HOA – I wanted

Belmont HOA – I wanted to let you know that I just read an item about a gentlemen who lives in your sub-division who is being denied his right to fly an American Flag by your home owners association. I feel that your organization is an extremely unpatriotic group and you should be ashamed to call yourself American. My own father spent 22 months in a Nazi prisoner of war camp fighting to keep this great country safe from fascism and tyranny. It saddens me greatly to see organizations like yours act in such an outrageous manner in attempting to deny an American his right to fly the flag of his country on his own property.

In addition, from my reading of the law it appears to me that your actions are illegal under both Federal and Virginia law.

I find your actions disgraceful.

Sincerely,
Bert
